The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is deeply committed to honoring our nation, our veterans, and those who have served before us through the proud tradition of Color Guards and Honor Guards. VFW members volunteer their time to present the colors at community events, parades, ceremonies, memorial services, veterans’ gatherings, and other important occasions. The presence of a VFW Color Guard represents patriotism, respect, and the continued commitment of veterans to the communities they proudly served.

VFW Honor Guards also play a meaningful role in honoring veterans who have passed away. By participating in military funeral honors, memorial ceremonies, and commemorative events, VFW members ensure that veterans receive the dignity, respect, and recognition they have earned through their service to our country. These volunteers understand that their responsibility extends beyond wearing the uniform—they are carrying forward a tradition of service and demonstrating that the sacrifices of our veterans will never be forgotten. Through every presentation of the colors and every final salute, the VFW remains committed to honoring those who served and supporting the families and communities they left behind.
